Intervention is back!

Hello year 11 students, parents and carers; today is an important date in the academic year because PPE certificates have been handed out. As students you will be feeling a range of emotions depending on the results you have received and we are here with you to celebrate or support depending on your individual circumstances.

The most important aspect of getting your PPE results is being able to turn your feelings into action that will improve your results in the February PPEs when you get to do this all over again(because as we all know practice makes progress). This afternoon we are holding a special assembly for you to tell you about all of the learning support on offer that you need to access starting with the re-start of subject intervention next Monday 29th November.

The timetable has changed somewhat to allow you to attend Science, Maths and English in separate nights and there are also some interventions to attend at lunch time. Subject interventions are now open to all students, please attend the subjects that require the most improvement ahead of areas that you are more confident in and can revise independently.

Intervention is back!

The time between now and your Feb PPEs will pass quickly, getting into the habit of 15 – 20 hours of work a week (including homework, intervention and revision) will give you the best chances of success, There are 9 Academy weeks until your next assessments so the time for ‘I’ll start tomorrow’ is well and truly over!

Intervention is back!

Hard work is one of our core values, working hard is something to be proud of and a daily choice. Teachers and Academy leaders expect your best and will pull you up in a kind but firm way if we feel that you aren’t representing yourself as well as you could be. This is because we care about you and your success.

Intervention is back!

A massive well done to the 75% of you who have attended subject intervention, library study and submitted work via the home learning group. We are going for 100% of you from next week onwards.
