Term 2 Week 4: Careers advice / support

Hi Year 9,
My name is Miss Burt and I am the Careers Education Co-Ordinator here at Hanham Woods.
So, what is Careers education?
Careers Education, Information, advice and guidance is learning about future pathways and careers as part of the curriculum. This can include topics such as skills building and how those skills link to employability, thinking about Post 16 and Higher Education, raising aspirations, support with finding work experience and much more! My role is to guide you in making informed decisions about your subject choices and your future pathways so that you achieve your personal best and have high aspirations for your future within the world of work.
The  links below are easy to navigate and interactive so I’m hoping that you will find them a great resource of careers information.
You may need to sign up or create an account for some of these websites but that should only take a few minutes and then usually you can answer a few short questions that will help to tailor you experience to your requirement and year group. From there it is up to you how you explore the site and investigate what interests you.
I will be in contact with you over the course of this term to discuss your career aspirations. If you have any questions about careers please email me at: [email protected]
I look forward to working with you all soon!
Miss Burt
