Y11 Intervention Programme
Dear Parents and Carers of Year 11,
We are pleased to announce our Year 11 Intervention programme will begin next week on Monday 22nd September. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to gain additional support in each of their subjects. To enable students to have access to all their subjects’ interventions will follow a 2-week timetable with core subjects of English, Maths, and Science on week 1 and option subjects on week 2. This is an open invitation for all students, and the sessions will run from 3:00 – 3:50pm. The timetable for this is shared below (we will begin with a week 1 rotation). (Note Wednesday is left blank as all staff have Professional Development Meetings each week)
Your support is essential in helping students make positive choices for their revision. Intervention at school is a useful way to establish positive habits with revision and can help encourage students to take more responsibility with revision at home. Revision techniques practiced in school can also be taken home and applied to independent learning. Intervention should be seen as additive and a supplement to home revision, not in place of it!

There is still time to sign up! The event will be taking place on Thursday 25th September from 4-5pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to get all of the key information to help you best support your child as well as a chance to meet the year 11 team, tutors and careers lead.
