Consultation on the Draft Admissions Policy for Hanham Woods Academy 2027-2028
Admissions authorities are required to consult on their admission arrangements whenever a change to the arrangements are proposed, or if no changes are proposed, every 7 years. As such, the Cabot Learning Federation is consulting on the admissions arrangements for Hanham Woods Academy, for students joining from September 2027.
The consultation period will run from 19 December 2025 to 31 January 2026 (minimum of 6 weeks)
Hanham Woods Academy is a secondary academy without post-16 provision. The academy is consulting as they are implementing a new admissions policy for students joining the school from September 2027.

Applications to join Hanham Woods Academy in Year 7 are managed by South Gloucestershire Council. You will have received a letter from the Local Authority containing your child’s UID (Unique Identification number). The UID number can then be used to make an application on line. Alternatively you can submit a paper application which can be downloaded from the Local Authority’s website. You are able to apply up to 31 October.

Parents/Carers of students wishing to join the Academy during the academic year or after Year 7 should complete the following form and return it to reception.
