Y11 Maths Revision

Dear Parent/Carer

As part of our Year 11 Maths revision, we will be using Half Past Papers — short, focused practice papers created by Hannah Kettle (Head of Maths, GCSE examiner, and experienced teacher).

Each paper is designed to take about 45 minutes to complete, making them achievable while still giving students excellent exam-style practice.

Every Half Past Paper has a QR code on the front. By scanning it, students can access a full video walkthrough where Hannah explains how to solve each question. Hannah also runs free live YouTube sessions every Thursday evening where students can ask questions and follow along.

These resources are completely free, and schools across the country are using them to help Year 11 students build confidence ahead of their GCSE exams.

We encourage you to:
Support your child in completing the papers set by their teacher.

  • Remind them to use the QR codes for video support.
  • Encourage them to join the live sessions or watch the replays on YouTube.

We believe these papers are a valuable tool to help your child feel more confident and prepared in maths.  Students will be given the paper every Wednesday and be expected to bring the completed paper to their maths lesson the following Wednesday.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely

Miss V Williams
