Academy Leadership Update

Dear Parents/Carers

I wanted to give you an update about the leadership arrangements for Hanham Woods Academy in the 2025-26 academic year.

You will be aware that Steve O’Callaghan has recently shared his intention to join the team at Lime Hills Academy following a period of recovery from illness; he will not be returning to Hanham Woods Academy.

In order to provide the students and staff team here with stability of leadership and continuity from this academic year, I wanted to share with you that Chris Ballard has agreed to extend his secondment into the role of Principal at Hanham Woods for a further 12 months.

This will enable colleagues to continue the positive work with Chris to secure improvements across the school in the coming academic year and provide an exceptional education for your children.

I am delighted that Chris will be working with the team in this way and look forward to co-creating a new chapter in Hanham’s story in the coming academic year.
