Academy Netball Club Tour 2024

Dear Parents/Carers

Below are details of an Academy netball tour that we are proposing to run next year when we are hoping to book to go Liddington, Swindon which is a PGL centre. This is a trip that we have run a few times before, and this would be the first time since COVID that we have been able to offer this opportunity. This is to reward students who have attended netball training at the end of the Academy Day and represented the Academy in fixtures. In previous years, students that have attended this trip have benefitted both in terms of their netball play and socially interacting with students that they may not normally work with in the Academy.

The trip will run from Friday 10th May to Sunday 12th May 2024. We would be leaving the Academy on Friday afternoon and travelling by coach to the PGL centre at Liddington, Swindon. The weekend would consist of a number of netball matches, coaching, as well as the opportunity to take part in some of the outdoor and adventurous activities that are on offer at PGL if they wish. We would then return on the Sunday afternoon.

The cost will include all activities, food, travel, and some clothing (TBC). At the moment the estimated cost will be £235. There is the possibility that this may be reduced depending on numbers attending.

If you would be interested in your child attending, then please complete the consent form on scopay, along with a non-refundable deposit of £50. There are 44 places and these will be offered on a first come basis.  We will then add names to a waiting list.

Students will only be permitted to attend this trip providing there are no coursework or behaviour concerns for that student. The Academy reserves the right to remove students from the trip.

A further letter will be sent out to confirm your child’s place and that the trip is able to run. If the trip is not able to run, you will receive a full refund. This letter will also include further details of the payment schedule.
