Academy Netball Club Tour

Further to our earlier letter regarding our proposed netball tour, we are pleased to provide more detailed information about the trip we hope to run next academic year in Term 2. We are proposing to visit Liddington, Swindon, which is a PGL centre. This is a trip we have successfully run several times over the past few years. The tour is designed to reward students who have regularly attended netball training after the Academy day and represented the Academy in fixtures.

The trip is scheduled to run from Friday 2nd October to Sunday 4th October 2026. We will leave the Academy on Friday afternoon and travel by coach to the PGL centre at Liddington. Over the weekend, students will take part in a netball tournament for their year group, coaching sessions, and a range of outdoor and adventurous activities offered by PGL. We will return on Sunday afternoon.

The estimated cost of the tour is £235, which includes all activities, food, and travel. This cost may be reduced depending on overall numbers. There will also be an opportunity to purchase tour clothing (t‑shirt and hooded top) nearer the time at an additional cost. If your daughter has attended previously, please note that the clothing design remains unchanged.

If you would like your daughter to attend, please pay the £50 deposit via SCOPAY by Friday 27th March. Places will be allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

Please note that students will only be permitted to attend if there are no coursework or behaviour concerns. The Academy reserves the right to withdraw a student from the trip if necessary.

A further letter will be sent to confirm your daughter’s place and to confirm that the trip is able to run. If the trip cannot go ahead, you will receive a full refund. This confirmation letter will also include details of the remaining payment schedule.
