Y10 Digital Work Experience (Selected Students Only)
Dear Parents & Carers,
We are excited to inform you that your child has been selected to take part in a Digital Work Experience programme, sponsored by We Job Box and Aston University.
The aim of the programme is to equip students firstly with IT and AI skills and knowledge that is becoming increasingly expected by modern employers, and then give them the space to practice these skills working alongside employers on real-world tasks. The programme is being run across 5 local Cabot Learning Federation schools – it is a pilot project of which we are proud to be part of.
Things students will be involved with:
- Learning to use creative tools such as Canva, ChatGPT and more
- Learning how AI is changing the world (and how we can help to shape it!)
- Meeting inspiring mentors and real employers from top industries such as the BBC, NHS, Deloitte, Royal Television Society, Adobe and many more!
- Discover their strengths and dream up their future career
- Earn a CPD Certificate that looks great on a CV!
The programme has no cost and takes place within school time, either at your child’s home academy or at a nearby partner Academy. Transport will be provided where required.

| 16th March | · Work Experience Day 3 – “Green & Sustainability” · Virtual – at home Academy |
| 27th March | · Work Experience Day 4 – “Health & Social Care” · Virtual – at home Academy |
| 31st March | · Work Experience Day 5 – “Construction, Engineering & The Built Environment” · Virtual – at home Academy |

You do not need to do anything to sign your child up – they will automatically be included in this programme unless you opt out, by emailing me at careers@hwa.clf.uk Our Media team will be present at some of the events and we would therefore like to know if you consent to your child’s photo being taken and potentially used for promotion of the programme internally and through social or local media.
