End of Term Letter – July 2023
Dear Parents/Carers,
As we close in on the end of term, I wanted to update you on our plans for the final day of term, Friday 21st July (which will be a half day for students).
Friday 21st July – Students Finish at 12:00pm
08:00 – 08:30 – Student arrival
08:30 – 09:00 – Tutor time
09:00 – 09:50 – Period 1 as normal
09:50 – 10:40 – Period 2 as normal
10:40 – 11:00 – Break (Friends of Hanham Woods will be onsite with their ‘end of term tuck shop’)
11:00 – 12:00 – Extended tutor time to include: safeguarding update, end of year celebration assembly, tutor quiz.
12:00 – 12:15 – students exit the Academy
Any students entitled to free school meals will be able to collect a packed lunch from the canteen at 12:00.
Looking ahead to September 2023
I can confirm what the first few days will entail and when students will return to the Academy in September:
- Friday 1st September: INSET day / Academy closed to students
- Monday 4th September: INSET day / Academy closed to students
- Tuesday 5th September: Year 7 and Year 11 return [Year 8, 9 and 10 remain at home]
- Wednesday 6th September: All students return to the Academy
