GCSE LIVE Performance of A Christmas Carol at Hanham Woods Academy
We have a fantastic opportunity for Year 10 and 11 students to see a LIVE performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol at Hanham Woods Academy on Thursday 23rd November.
The event involves a visiting theatre company, Quantum Theatre to come to Hanham Woods Academy and perform a special performance that is designed for students who are studying the text. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is a GCSE set text. It is a text that students need to know in detail because they will sit a closed book exam at the end of Year 11. We are very fortunate to be able to get the company to visit us and it will be a valuable experience for students. It takes place during the school day during lesson time and the main hall will be turned into a theatre space.
Contributions are necessary if this performance to take place so we do need your support. The amount required in order to fund this performance is £10.00 per student. We do need to cover the financial costs and if the cost is not covered, the visit may be cancelled. We will not exclude any student from this experience. This cost will include an excellent revision guide for A Christmas Carol designed to really boost students understanding of the play.
