GCSE Results Day  – Thursday 20th August 2026 and Prom Photographs

Dear Parents/Carers 

I wanted to write to extend a personal thank you for all your support in navigating your child’s journey at Hanham Woods Academy, particularly in Year 11. We concluded our end of year celebrations with a fantastic Prom where I know students and staff in attendance had a wonderful evening. It was delightful to see so many of you there enjoying the incredible weather and some very impressive arrivals to the event! GCSE Results Day  – Thursday 20th August 2026

The Academy will be open between 9.30am and 11:00am for students, parents, and carers to collect GCSE results certificates from the Foyer on Thursday 20th August 2026. 

Students need to arrive in person to collect results or nominate another family member or friend by providing written consent, naming the person nominated for collection. This written consent needs to be provided on the day along with photo ID that matches the nominee’s name. Any uncollected results will be retained by the Academy for collection in the new academic year. There will be some documentation within the results which helps explain any appeals processes were they to be required.  

There will also be a form for students to sign, if they wish, which will grant school permission to access student scripts from the summer examinations. This is incredibly helpful for staff to be able to analyse student performance and highlight key priority areas within the curriculum in each subject – knowledge that we can then use to support next year’s Year 11 cohort.
