Hanham Woods Academy Food & Clothes Bank
Dear Parents & Carers,
We are delighted to share that, from next term, Hanham Woods Academy will be opening a Food and Uniform bank to support our Academy community. Our aim is to offer a little extra help to students and families who may be finding things difficult, and to ensure that everyone has access to essential items when they need them, without judgement.
To help us get started, we would be extremely grateful for any donations you are able to offer. All contributions, big or small, will make a real difference.
Food Donations (Non‑Perishable Only)
We welcome items such as:
- Tinned foods
- Packets of crisps
- Biscuits
- Noodles
- Rice
- Pasta
- Cereals
- Any other long‑life, non‑perishable foods
Health & Hygiene Items
Examples include:
- Deodorant
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Shower gel
- Hand soap or hand gel
- Toilet rolls
- Baby products (nappies, wipes, formula milk, etc.)
These are just examples — we are happy to accept all suitable items.
Academy Uniform (Good Condition Only)
We are also grateful for clean, non‑stained uniform items in good, wearable condition, including:
- White shirts
- Black trousers
- Black pleated skirts
- Black trainers
- HWA school ties
All sizes are welcome and very much appreciated.
Your generosity will help ensure that our new Food Bank and Uniform Bank can offer practical support to families who need it most. Thank you in advance for your kindness and for helping us make a positive difference within our Academy community.
