IMPORTANT Safeguarding Incident

Dear Parent / Carers, 

We are aware of an incident that occurred in the community yesterday evening at a local youth club involving students from the Academy. We are unable to share any further details at this point in time as the incident occurred in the community and we are seeking to establish the facts. 

We are currently working with agencies including the Police to establish exactly what happened and to ensure a robust follow-up takes place. 

Our Safeguarding and Pastoral Teams will be available to support any students who require it today. 

I will be speaking to students this morning to reassure them that we are aware of the incident, it is being followed up with the appropriate agencies, how they can access support (if needed) and not spread rumours or speculate about the incident.
