Industrial Action Update – Student Arrangements – Friday 19th June
Dear Parent/Carers,
Thank you for your support today the children on site have been a credit to Hanham Woods Academy.
Plans for Friday 19th June 2026
I now have a clearer picture of the staff that were in work today and can therefore, make a more informed decision to our likely staff on site for tomorrow. I have had to make the unfortunate decision to keep Year 9 at home during Friday this week. Year 9 students will be provided with remote learning which they should bring completed into school on Monday as this will be collected in tutor.
The plans for Year 7, 8 and 10 remain unchanged from the original plan. The plan for each year group can be seen in the table below.

All students should attend school in full school uniform with their usual equipment for lessons.
We aim to meet with NEU representatives tomorrow as they were unable to meet with us today as I continue to seek a resolution.
We will communicate the proposed plan for Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd June tomorrow Friday 19th June.
