Potential Industrial Action Update_12th June 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

I wanted to provide you with a brief update following a meeting on Thursday 11th June 2026 with union representatives.

The discussion was constructive and focused on staff feedback, particularly in relation to Hanham Woods behaviour policy, processes and systems. Union representatives also met with their members on the same day and will return for further discussion with me on Monday 15th June 2026, when we expect to receive more detailed feedback.

In the meantime, we remain fully focused on continuing to raise standards of behaviour across the school and ensuring a calm and safe environment for all students. My unwavering commitment is to work towards solutions that will avert the need for industrial action.

We ask for your continued support as we work in partnership to strengthen the culture and environment at Hanham Woods. We share the same commitment to our children’s education, and this will continue to guide our approach to ensure the highest standards for all to thrive.
