Apology: Year 7 Visit – The Tempest, The Globe Theatre, London 

Dear Parents/Carers 

I am writing to express my apologies for the mis-communication in relation to the Year 7 English Trip to The Globe Theatre in London to see The Tempest on 8th March 2023. 

We do take on board the feedback we have received as a result of this mis-communication and are already considering how we can ensure that all trips offered across all Year Groups are done in a way that provides everyone with equal opportunity.  It is likely that going forward we will ask parents/carers to express an interest in a trip prior to students being selected through a fair process.  It will only be at this point that the parents/carers of those students selected will be informed that they are able to access Scopay and make payment. 

If you have made payment for The Tempest trip, and received confirmation of this, then your child has been allocated one of the 25 places available.  For those students not attending the trip, please be assured that their learning around this subject will not be detrimentally impacted. 

Again, please accept my apologies for the mis-communication around this trip and the disappointment this has caused to both yourself and your child.
