Year 9 Virtual Parent’s Evening – Wednesday 7th February

Dear Parents/Carers, 

 Year 9 Virtual Parent’s Evening – Wednesday 7th February – 4pm – 7pm 

Please note that the Year 9 Parents’ Evening will take place on Wednesday 7th February 2024 – this will be on online (virtual) parents evening and follows on from the Year 9 Options Evening which took place on 24th January 2024.  

This evening will provide a formal opportunity for you to discuss your child’s current performance with their subject teachers, and targets for further improvement.  It is an important part of our Academy calendar and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you online on for this evening.  Appointments start at 4pm and finish at 7pm. 

The booking system for this evening is electronic. Parents/Carers will now be able to book virtual appointments with teachers directly via an online booking system.  https://hanhamwoods.schoolcloud.co.uk (there is also a link to this website on our Academy website) where you will be asked for your details to access appointments. If you are unsure of your child’s tutor group, then please ask them for this information.  To assist with booking video calls, we have produced the following Y9 Parents Evening – Parents guidelines.docx 

The system opens for bookings on Tuesday 30th January 2024 at 6pm. 

In advance of this evening, your child’s most recent progress check will be made available to you. This information is being shared in advance of the subject progress meetings so that you can analyse the data and be fully aware of your child’s progress ahead of the evening itself. 

Appointments are scheduled on a first come first served basis, therefore, we would encourage you to do this as soon as is possible to avoid disappointment. Once you have made appointments, you will receive an email confirming the appointments you have made. Should you wish to make any changes after this date or you do not have access to the internet, please contact Main Reception who will be happy to add/amend appointments on your behalf.
