We won the Woodcock Shield!

Hanham Woods Academy Year 10 Boys won the Woodcock Shield, played at Ashton Gate Stadium on 1st May 2019.

Our Year 10 team travelled to Ashton Gate stadium for the final of the Woodcock Shield. This is one of the oldest schoolboy cup competitions in the country and the trophy dates back to 1907! In a tense and entertaining game the boys triumphed 2-0. The game was played in front of around 400 spectators. It is an experience these young men will never forget and they should be congratulated for their efforts and their attitude throughout the season. We are so proud of what they have achieved as a team.

Thanks to the many staff and parents/carers who came to support on Wednesday evening and special thanks to Mr Swanton for all the time he gives up to support the boys.
