Academy Production – Matilda Jr – Postponement
Dear Parents/Carers
We are writing to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to postpone our Academy Production of Matilda Jr, which was due to be performed week commencing Monday 14th February 2022.
Our decision is based on several reasons, mainly due to the restrictions that we have faced with the ongoing pandemic and the consequential well-being of our students.
The new dates for the performance will be:
- Monday 4th April-Dress and Tech Rehearsal
- Wednesday 6th April-Matinee for Primary Schools and 7pm Performance
- Thursday 7th April-Matinee for Primary Schools and 7pm Performance.
We will release tickets for sale at the start of Term 4 for the above dates.
We have resumed full rehearsals, which include working with our Technical and Design Teams and these will be every Tuesday (Performers Only) and Thursday (All Students) 3.00-4.30pm. We will also continue to invite principal characters to rehearse their songs during Tutor Time on a Monday and Wednesday.
To ensure everyone’s safety and to prevent the further spread on Covid-19, we would advise all students to complete an LFT Test twice a week and to wear masks throughout the rehearsals.
It would be great if you could encourage your child to learn all their lines, including lyrics for the songs as we aim to be off script by February.
