All children attending these courses must live or go to school in the South Glos area and must have a roadworthy bike and helmet.
Learn to Ride courses are suitable for students of any age who have not yet learned to ride a bike. The course lasts 1.5 hours and take place in a traffic free environment with a maximum ratio of 3 trainees to 1 instructor.
Level 2 courses are an introduction to the basics of riding on the road. The course lasts from 9:15am – 2:45pm with a lunch break. You MUST complete a Level 2 course to an acceptable level before going on to a Level 3 course.
Level 3 courses encourage independent decision making when out on the road and teaches the trainees how to negotiate roundabouts, traffic lights etc. The course is particularly useful for students who are thinking of using their bike to travel to school. A Level 2 course must have already been completed at an acceptable level before signing up to a Level 3 course.
All courses will take place at Bradley Stoke Community Secondary School, Fiddlers Wood Lane, Bradley Stoke BS32 9BS.
All courses cost £5 and are non-refundable. Any child attending a Bikeability Holiday Course can only attend ONE COURSE during that specific holiday course duration. Refunds will not be given if a child has been booked on to 2 courses.
