Dear Parents/Carers,

Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award

Well done to the students on completion of the expedition element. They dealt with the changing situation well.

Refund

Due to the camping being cancelled, a £7 refund is available per student. Please note there are no other staff costs as staff that attended are acting as volunteers.
We are just awaiting the refund back from the expedition company. Once this has been received Mrs Davis (Finance Assistant) will then be in touch via email to the person that originally paid for the trip. This will then ask you to register your bank details on a secure form to receive the refund.

Kit

If you borrowed any kit for your child, can I please ask that you return this either to main reception or your child returns it to the PE office before the end of June.
Assessor reports

To gain the full award, each section of your DofE programme (Volunteering, Physical, and Skills) must be signed off by an assessor. The students can collect cards from me that they can pass to their assessors with instructions or they can use the booklet that was sent to them from DofE. All reports and evidence must be uploaded to the DofE online or via the app.
If your child requires any help with the above, please ask them to come and see me on a Thursday after school. There will be an awards evening in the Autumn for those students who have completed all sections.
