BTEC Sport Unit 1 Exam

Dear Parents/Carers

As you will be aware, your child has opted to study a sports course as one of their options next year – they are going to be studying BTEC Sport.  This means that they will be sitting their Unit 1 exam in the early part of 2022.  This will count towards 25% of their final grade.  Please find enclosed the Learning Aim A Knowledge Organiser for this Unit.  It contains fundamental information on components of fitness definitions and training principles that underpin key work that will be covered in the exam, and in future coursework in Years 10 & 11.

Please could you encourage your child to use the summer holidays to read through and revise the information on this Learning aim A Knowledge organiser (new numbered).

Any additional revision on this will provide a fantastic foundation for which to build upon as we begin the course in September.
