Duke of Edinburgh Award 2024/2025 – Bronze Award Update (Selected Students Only)

Dear Parent/Carer

We just wanted to get in touch to update you on a couple of items for the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award Expedition.

A reminder that the parents evening is on Wednesday 5th February 5.00-5.30pm in the main hall. At this meeting we will run through the award, further details for the expeditions including kit lists, timings and locations for drop off.

We also wanted to update you that for the first expedition, this will be run as two separate training days, with no overnight camping The expedition company have expressed some concerns about camping at this time of the year with a lack of indoor space to protect the group if needed.

The second expedition, later in the academic year, will run as planned with camping overnight on the Friday. Details will be given at the parents meeting, with drop off and pick up locations as well as approximate timings. If you have any questions, please contact me at [email protected]
