Fixtures at Hanham Woods Academy

Dear Parents / Carers,

Representing the Academy in Sport is a privilege that students earn through hard work, teamwork and sportsmanship. We are proud of the opportunities we provide for students to take part in competitive fixtures against other schools and in cup competitions.

We seek to invite parents/carers in as much as possible to watch their child represent the Academy as and when we have the capacity to do so. If you do not receive communication from us in advance regarding a specific fixture (this will usually be a text message sent to specific parents/carers of students playing in the fixture), you can assume that we are unable to accommodate spectators for that fixture, so please do not attend the academy.

For spectators who attend the academy to watch their child we have adopted the FA’s code of conduct for spectators which is used in grassroots: https://www.englandfootball.com/participate/behaviour/the-grassroots-code

When we can invite parents/carers in to watch a fixture we will text message out a link to an electronic sign-up form for you to confirm your place at the fixture. You will then need to follow the map below at the designated time of the fixture to be signed in and taken to the appropriate venue:

As fixtures are starting next week, I thought it would be helpful to provide clarity on parents/carers spectating.

Thank you in advance for supporting our Academy Teams.
