Naked Truth – Monday 8th July 2024
Dear Parents/Carers
On Monday 8th July 2024 we have a fantastic opportunity for students to receive input from Naked Truth, a Relationships, Sex and Health Education charity delivering expert sessions to young people in primary and secondary schools. Their focus is on relationships, sex education and the law, enabling young people to develop their understanding of topics such as sexting and pornography. Equipping them with the ability to make positive choices, understand how to keep themselves safe and recognise risks and risky behaviours.
Years 7, 8 and 9 will receive input on selfies and sexting and Year 10 will receive input on pornography, including content on the law. The sessions will be delivered during the Academy day and will last 1 hour. A link to the organisation delivering the sessions is at the bottom of this letter.
Students are expected to arrive for the normal Academy Day, in usual Academy uniform and will receive their normal timetabled lessons when not in the session. Outlined below is the timetable for the sessions so that students can ensure they are appropriately equipped for their normal timetabled lessons. Please note that some lessons are only partially impacted.
