Partial Closure – Years 8 and 9 – Monday 28th & Tuesday 29th March 2022

Dear Parents/Carers

In a similar scenario to other schools in Bristol and South Gloucestershire, we have had a significant number of COVID positive staff cases in the last 48 hours, and are now encountering significant challenges with regards to staff absence across the Academy and booking supply teachers.

On Monday 28th March and Tuesday 29th March 2022 we will be asking both Year 8 and Year 9 students to learn from home. Please note: if your child is part of the Resource Base, they should continue to attend the Academy. We will endeavour to return to full Academy opening again as soon as possible and will continue to communicate our opening arrangements with you as soon as possible.

Years 7, 10 and 11:

Students in years 7, 10 and 11 should continue to attend the Academy as normal.

Years 8 and 9:

Students in Years 8 and 9 will be able to access work via Show My Homework across both days. A live assembly will take place at 09:00 on both days (link to the assembly will be shared on Show My Homework).
