Start of term 1
Dear Parents / Carers,
I hope that you have been enjoying a restful summer break and that students are ready to return to the Academy for the new academic year. Everyone is looking forward to welcoming students back to the Academy, especially our new Year 7 cohort! We have been working hard over the last couple of weeks to prepare for September to ensure we give students the best chance of success.
You will be aware that tensions have been high in communities across the country with various rallies and protests being held during the summer. I wanted to reassure you that we are available to support students and families who may have been affected by this and we will be extra vigilant upon students returning to ensure the necessary support is received. Updates to the Senior and Pastoral Teams
Following the departure of Mrs. Hendra at the end of last term, Mrs Tushingham has been promoted to Vice Principal, Mrs Gardner has been promoted to Assistant Principal and Mr Hocking has been promoted to Associate Assistant Principal (whilst also retaining his Curriculum Leader of Maths role).
