World Book Day – Thursday 7th March
Dear Parents and Carers,
Hanham Woods Academy will be taking part in a range of activities to celebrate the wonderful world of reading and literature on Thursday 7th March 2024.
The celebrations will include a special assembly led by Mrs Hendra and Mrs Hurrell for Year 7 & 8, Tutor Time Quiz which has been planned by the student House Council and a Character & Genre Treasure Hunt (Year 7 & 8); whereby staff will bring characters from their favourite stories to life and students are invited to hunt them down. Students who guess the most correct characters and genres will receive prizes.
We will also be giving out book tokens and there will be a range of activities in the library at lunch time on the day.
