Year 11 Leavers Letter (2022)
Dear Parent/Carer,
The end of the GCSE exam period is fast approaching and we would like to mark this milestone by inviting students into the Academy on Friday 24th June 2022 for a special leaver’s celebration event. Students wishing to attend will need to arrive at the Academy at 9.00am (gates will close for entry at 9.15am) and will join the Senior Leadership Team and their tutors for light refreshments, shirt signing and an assembly. The event will end at approximately 10.15am.
Students need to attend the event wearing FULL Academy uniform; we would also recommend bringing a spare school shirt with them to be signed should students wish to have this souvenir of their time in Year 11.
We would like to welcome as many of our students as possible to this event; however, should students fail to meet Academy expectations between now and the event we reserve the right to withdraw the invitation to this event.
Students are expected to attend the Academy full time until Monday 20th June 2022. From this date students will attend GCSE exams and specific preparation sessions only. To support you in planning during this time please see the table below for GCSE exams and revision sessions between 20th and 23rd June 2022.
Although term ends for year 11 students after the Physics exam on 23rd June 2022, we are still here to support you and your child in the following ways:
- College/Apprenticeship application support – if you would like to book an appointment with our Academy Careers Lead Ms Mujkic please email [email protected]
- Safeguarding – if you are concerned about the safety or wellbeing of your child please email [email protected] (Where your child is in immediate danger please contact 999)
GCSE exam results will be available for collection from the Academy on Thursday 25th August 2022, and we will be in contact with further information before the end of the Summer Term.
On behalf of all staff and leadership at the Academy I would like to thank you for your support and feedback throughout the past 5 years. It has been such a pleasure and a privilege to work together to achieve the best outcomes for our students and something that had to be a team effort from the outset.
We wish every Year 11 student huge success as they begin the next chapter of their lives.
Yours sincerely
Rebecca Tushingham | Assistant Principal
