Year 11 Steps to Success week: (27th September-1st October 2021)
The Survival guide to Year 11 – On site Event – Thursday 30th September
We want to welcome you to your child’s final year at the Academy. We are delighted with the start Year 11 have made this term – they have returned with an energy and enthusiasm that we want to build on during the year ahead. We know how important this year is to both you and your child, and so we wanted to let you know what we have put in place to support you both as you come to the end of your child’s time at Hanham Woods Academy.
On 27th September 2021 we start the Year 11 Steps to Success week. During this week our students will receive:
- Tailored tutor time sessions to support the Year 11 journey- tutor time activities, all week.
- Access to revision guides and revision timetables- tutor time activities, all week.
- Parent/student onsite session ‘The Survival Guide to Year 11’ – Thursday 30thSeptember (details below).
We would like to invite you, and your child to book on to a parent/student seminar during one of the following times: 4.30-5.00pm, 5.30-6.00pm, 6.30-7.00pm. To book on to a session, please use the link below, ensuring you pick the time you would like. Bookings are now open, and will close on 30th September at 12pm. Please reserve one ticket for each person attending the event.

The seminar will be held in the Main Hall at the Academy, hosted by members of the Senior Leadership Team. This will be an opportunity for us to share practical ways in which you can support your child during their GCSE year.
