Hanham Woods Academy Ski Trip – February Half Term: Friday 14th February – Saturday 22nd February 2025
Following our successful ski trip this year, I am excited to launch the HWA Ski Trip 2025! Hanham Woods Academy is looking to offer a trip to students currently in Years 7 to 10*. We will be visiting the Bormio ski area in Italy and staying at the Girasole Hotel. Further information about the resort and accommodation will be shared in future correspondence.
The total cost of the trip is £1397. During the trip students will learn how to ski, attending 5 hours of ski school for 6 days. This cost also includes: return overnight coach travel and ferry crossing, 6 nights full board accommodation including a hot lunch each day, hire of skis, boots, poles, ski helmet, ski lift pass, 30 hours of ski school, evening entertainment, such as: ice-skating, a ski race, pizza/burger night, shopping and a disco in addition to other fun and games at the hotel (TBC). Finally, we have again included the cost of a personalised hooded sweatshirt in this price. Whilst I appreciate this is a huge amount of money, the cost remains good value for money and is indeed the best quote we have managed to find for a trip and location of this quality. The price of the trip is slightly higher than the 2023 trip, however, we have managed to keep an extra hour ski tuition each day as this helps the students make greater progress through the week. We will be travelling with SkiTeam4, a company that we have used in the past. After extensive market research, it is felt that this was the best package and is a very competitive price given the location and timing of the trip. SkiTeam4, has been operating winter sports holidays to schools for many years and has an excellent safety record. There are a limited number of places available on the trip and we expect high numbers to express an interest. The deadline for the first deposit of £200 will be Friday 1st December 2023.
After an incredibly enjoyable experience this year and on previous trips, we are confident the students who attend this trip will find it a challenging and very rewarding experience. If you would like your child to take part in the trip, please pay the first (non-refundable**) deposit of £200 using the online payments system, details below.
There will be a further £200 deposit required before Friday 2nd January 2024. Please note that both deposits are non-refundable**. Once your child’s place has been confirmed, we will issue a payment plan card containing further details.
